…I skated with several adult hockey groups and all three of our children played on HYHA teams, often with me as their coach. Along the way I spent 23 years officiating, helping a generation of players better understand the game of ice hockey. It is important that the rink is updated now so that future families of skaters can be equally well-served by this facility.

…I watched a group of community minded people get the rink built in the 1980’s, and now I’m thrilled to be part of a group of community minded people getting it ready to go for another thirty years.

…I want the next generations of Upper Valley kids to have the same incredible experiences I have had and my children have had at Campion Rink.

…it has been amazing to see how many kids have grown and matured and learned so many important life lessons on the rink over the decades. Whether through figure skating, hockey or just learning how to skate, the Rink has served thousands of kids in the Upper Valley in the past. Working to help ensure that Campion is a facility we can be proud of to serve the community and our kids for the next generation is what makes me a Campion Champion.

…I have been fortunate to skate at Campion Rink since it was built in 1988 and have watched my son grow up skating there. I support the renovation because it is time for the next generation to have the same opportunity, only better!

…the James Campion Ice Rink has been at the core of our family since before it opened. We participated in everything from fundraising bake sales and skatathons to manning the snackbar and the penalty box as our boys learned to skate, participate, excel and experience heartache as a part of the hockey programs. We met our life-long group of friends at Campion. We learned how to be a part of the Upper Valley community through our experiences at the rink. That is why I am a Campion Champion!

I moved to the Upper Valley when I was going in to third grade, and immediately my best friends became the kids I met on the ice at Campion. Later in life, I was so fortunate to play in the most famous arenas in the world, but nothing compares to the thrill of watching my own kids play hockey with their best friends on that same Campion ice.

…I enjoy skating with my wife, my sons, my daughter-in-laws and especially my grandchildren.

…to have access to an ice rink is something I believe is important for any community, it adds so much for so many. I feel lucky being a part of the Campion family and fully support the Capital Campaign.

…as a former rink user and hockey parent, I feel it’s important to support this project so that future generations can benefit from all the facility has to offer. I am really pleased to be a Campion Champion!

…it’s the right thing to do for our community. Although I grew up in Vermont skiing, my brother played hockey through high school and our local rink was an essential recreational asset for our family, friends and neighbors.
